My name is Wendy Dixon. I am a non-combat veteran and work full-time as a paramedic for a local ambulance service. I have been helping people my entire life. I founded Patriot Horsemanship to assist the public with equine education, not just the relationship with the horses or first aid for them but how wonderful American mustangs are. I am an approved TIP trainer through the Mustang Heritage Foundation. I gentle untouched mustangs for them to be adopted by the public.
I am a certified instructor through Equi-First Aid USA and also through American Heart Association. The education we offer includes first aid (human and equine), safety, safe trailering practices and disaster planning. I am also certified as an animal assisted therapy professional through Animal Behavior Institute in addition to Equine Behavior & Management and Advanced Equine Training. My goal is to provide veterans and first responders a place to feel safe and become mindful instead of having a mind full. Currently I am working on getting my PATH instructor certification. I am also currently enrolled in Penn Foster for veterinary technology.
