Standard Equine Health and Emergency First-Aid- This is a one-day hands-on course with horses covering -- what your vet needs to know when you call, conditioning a horse to accept treatment, taking proper vital signs, dealing with lacerations, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, hoof issues, recognizing pain in the horse and so much more! All attendees receive a certificate of completion and a first aid manual. This course also earns professional development credits with PATH and EAGLA 6-8 hour course

Advanced Equine Health Emergency and First-Aid- Plan, prepare, react to any emergency! Join us for a one-day highly advanced equine emergency first aid course and learn what to do in more extreme situations! This course covers everything from assessing the condition of a horse, trapped horses, poison, burns, bites, hypo/hyperthermia, tie ups, fractures, sucking chest wounds and more. It prepares the student to handle the most serious injuries, where without human intervention, the horse will not survive. All attendees receive a certificate of completion and a first aid manual. This course also earns professional development credits with PATH and EAGLA 6-8 hour course

Advanced Equine First-Aid Wilderness Edition- A wilderness version of the Advanced course, this one-day, highly advanced equine emergency first aid training class is for the adventurous outdoor rider. With a camping and stitching component, this also covers everything including trapped horses, poison, burns and bites, hypo/hyperthermia, tie-ups, fractures, and sucking chest wounds. This course prepares the student to handle the most serious injuries, where without human intervention, the horse will not survive. All attendees receive a certificate of completion and a first aid manual. This course also earns professional development credits with PATH and EAGLA. 6-8 hour course

First Aid Fundamentals- This is a half-day, fast-paced clinic covering the fundamentals of first aid. Working hands-on with the horses, you will learn to take vital signs, recognize pain in the horse, detect colic, and participate in lots of bandaging in realistic scenarios! All attendees will receive a first aid reference booklet. 2-4 hour course

Cost: $89/student

AHA Heartsaver First Aid, AED, CPR- Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. 2-4 hour course

Cost: $50/student or $25/student when taken with another course that we offer

I Can Help – Horse First Aid for Kids- Have a horse-crazy youngster? Sign them up for the 3-hour kids’ program. They'll learn horse safety and basic first aid in a fun, hands-on environment. There's even a recipe for horse cookies in their manual, and they'll all get a frameable certificate of completion! No horse experience is necessary!

Yay or Neigh – Farm Safety for Kids- Have a farm and want a fun way to teach your kids about animal safety? Ages 5-9 No horse experience is necessary!

Disaster Planning and Emergency Preparedness- A must for any livestock owner, this course will train you in fire prevention, planning for and executing safe evacuation procedures, hidden dangers and responding to first aid emergencies. It also covers what to do in natural disasters such as flooding, wildfires, ice storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, and more.

Cost: $159/student

Backcountry First Aid- This class is designed for the trail rider who needs to know Equine First Aid Basics while in a remote location. This three-hour class is a condensed version of our Advanced Wilderness class and will cover: planning for your trail adventure including communications, what to pack etc, preparing your horse/horses for the trail including conditioning and how much they can pack, vital signs, wounds, bandaging, snake bites, fractures, and more! Includes a reference guide to pack with you and a certificate of completion.

Cost: $99/student

Principles of Equine Nutrition- This is a one-day class covering the fundamental principles of equine nutrition. Most importantly, it is independent and unbiased and the only class of its kind. We’ll cover what a horse has evolved to eat, the GI tract, classes of nutrients, types of forages and feedstuffs, reading feed labels, calculating rations, feeding for life stages, special considerations – and more. Activities will include calculating a horse’s weight, body condition scoring, feed comparisons and ration calculations. The class includes a full-color 80+ page reference manual and a Certificate of Completion.
